Terms and Conditions for the provision of a free trial of Capital Economics' services

(Updated 26th August 2026)

By completing our free trial form at www.capitaleconomics.com/user/register you agree on behalf of the company whose details you provide to us (the “Company”) to accept the following terms and conditions. If you cannot agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of the Company do not complete the free trial form.

For free trials, the following terms and conditions apply:

1. The services provided will be limited to accessing and reading up to 10 publications (the “Services”).

2. The trial provides read-only access. The Company is not permitted to download the reports, forecasts, data, or other content made available through the Services (the “Content”) or extract it into its own systems.

3. All intellectual property rights in the Services and the Content remain with Capital Economics and/or its licensors. The Company may not distribute the Content outside the Company, or use it to train, develop, enhance, or prompt any artificial intelligence system, language model, or machine learning tool, or to derive or reverse-engineer Capital Economics’ forecasts, models, or methodologies.

4. The trial runs for the period specified by Capital Economics, may be terminated by Capital Economics at any time without notice, and is provided free of charge.

5. The trial creates no subscription and confers no right to continued access, and does not convert to a paid subscription except under a separate agreement with Capital Economics.

6. The Services are provided on an “as is” basis and the Company participates at its own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Capital Economics will not be liable, whether in tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), contract, misrepresentation or otherwise, for any losses arising from the trial. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury or any other liability that cannot be excluded in law.

7. The Company warrants that (i) it is not included on the US Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List or any equivalent sanctions list of the UK, EU or applicable country (together, the “Sanctions Lists”) and (ii) it is not owned or controlled by, or acting for or on behalf of, any person or entity included on any Sanctions List, and will indemnify Capital Economics against all claims, losses, penalties, costs and expenses arising out of any breach of this warranty.
