Lending to commercial property (Oct. 12)

Net commercial property lending was negative for the 11th consecutive month in October. However, while lenders continue to make progress on working out nonperforming loans, uncertainty and the weak economic outlook suggest that commercial property credit conditions will not ease markedly anytime soon.
