Brazil was Latin America’s economic outperformer last year, but the outlook for this year is increasingly challenging and we expect that the economy will fall behind its regional peers in the coming quarters. We now think that GDP will expand by 3.0% over 2021 as a whole, making it one of the few EMs where our forecast sits below the consensus.
